Aug.14: TALK: Music as History in Tamil Nadu – by Dr. T.K. Venkatasubramanian. C.P. Ramaswamy Aiyar Foundation. Eldams Road, Alwarpet. At 10.30 a.m.

Aug. 16: PHOTO EXHIBITION: At Studio Palazzo, 1st Floor, No 7, Seethamma Road, Alwarpet. Photo exhibition of Ranjan De’s Chennai Graffiti. Also, Early 20th Century Reminiscences of Gurusamy Mudaliar, a close associate of Robert Chisholm who pioneered the Indo-Saracenic style in Madras, and the Survey Office group photographs. This show will be on through the week.
Inauguration at 4.30 p.m. followed by talk on Robert Chisholm by Sriram V. Talks will be held every evening.

Aug. 17: 9 a.m. onwards. At Srinivasa Sastri Hall, Luz. Chennai Heritage Multi-Media Project Contest. 20 school teams take part. Prize-distribution at about 4 p.m. Chief guest – S. V. Shekher, Mylapore MLA and actor. (Guests can also watch the proceedings).

Aug.17: 6.30 p.m. At Srinivasa Sastri Hall, Luz. Illustrated Talk on ‘San Thome Cathedral-Basilica ; Its History and its Architecture by Fr. Vijay Kiran, archivist. Open to all.

Aug.18: 6 p.m. Anglo-Indians of Our City. Talk by Dr. Beatrix D’ Souza. Exhibition of photos on Anglo-Indians. At Studio Palazzo, No 7, Seethamma Road, Alwarpet
