Swarna Subramanian, wife of the late R. Subramanian, retired mechanical engineer, S. Railway passed away in Chennai on August 2 at the age of 82.
She had been a resident of Mylapore from 1942 and lived and got married in the same house, her family said.
She was adept at embroidery and stitching and continued it right till the end. A service minded person, she never hesitated to help people, says her family.
Swarna leaves behind her daughter, Lakshmi and son, Dr. S. Balakrishnan, Prof. of Engineering, University of Manibou, Winnipeg, Canada.
