Our Lady of Light Shrine, Luz (popularly known as Luz Church) a heritage place looked like a lavishly decorated film set on Wednesday last.
There was a grand wedding Holy Mass celebrated that morning and the surprise VIP guest was AIADMK leader J. Jayalalithaa.
The wedding was of Sonia Rueben, daughter of Rueben, a parishoner who is the professional photographer of Jayalalithaa.
Jayalalithaa attended the Mass for 10 minutes – she handed over the blessed thali to the groom, greeted the couple and left.
Over 100 policemen were on duty and the campus was subjected to a security check over two days.
