Kartik Fine Arts will launch its December season festival of music and dance concerts on December 1 with a function at Narada Gana Sabha hall, Alwarpet.
Justice Chockalingam of the Madras High Court will be the chief guest along with IAS officer K. Alauddin.
On this occasion, the sabha will honour mridangist J. Vaidyanathan and dancer Lavanya Shankar with titles. Aruna Sairam will felicitate them.
The sabha’s concerts will be held at the two halls here for some time and they will then shift to Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
Kartik also hosts a Thamizh Isai fest in Anna Nagar in late December.
