Chettinad Vidyashram’s school cricket team won the Vidya Mandir-Sportstar under-14 cricket tournament which concluded last weekend. It beat P. S. Senior.
In their climb to the finale, both teams had a few heroes.
P. S. Senior’s M. Sairam scored a total of 200 runs in this tourney. He was also the highest scorer in the semi finals with 84 runs.
S. Akash Sivan of the same school scored a total of 180 runs in this tourney.
V. Ashwanth Kumar had secured a total of 12 wickets: this is the highest number of wickets taken by an individual in this series.
Chettinad’s K. R. Abhishek and Vignesh Umamaheswaran took 3 wickets apiece in their team’s semi-final match.
