The celebration of the 105th Founder’s day of the Madras Sanskrit College and 53rd Annual Day of The Savitri Ammal Oriental H. Sec. School was held on February 23 at the Sanskrit College premises.
S. Balasubramanian, Managing director and Chief executive officer, City Union Bank, Kumbakokanam was the chief guest for the event.
As part of the cultural events held during the event the students of Sanskrit college presented a play in Sanskrit from the epic Ramayanam. They enacted the story from Yuddhakandam to Pattabishekam under the title “Abhishekanatakam” written by writer Bhasa.
This event was organised by the Sri V. Krishnaswami Iyer Sanskrit Education Trust.
