Rukmani Mani Manathattai passed away in Chennai on March 6 at the age of 77.
She was socially active in Calicut (1957-62) and later in Chennai. She had won special prizes in sports.
In Chennai she was the President of Mothers Union of the Lady Sivaswamy Aiyar Girls High School, Mylapore where her daughters studied.
She is survived by her husband, S. P. Mani, retd. AGM of United Insurance and two daughters Tara Natarajan and Priya Venkatanarayanan.
