Alamelu Krishnamurthy, wife of late K. C. Krishnamurthy (KCK), a film director passed away on April 29. She was 84.
She was a resident of Mylapore since 1946.
Her family said she singlehandedly brought up her children after her husband passed away 39 years ago.
Alamelu was fond of craftwork. She recently participated in the handicraft competition organised by SIFT (Srijathi Institute of fashion technology). She had submitted over 180 craft items and won the first prize.
She is survived by her sons Raju, Chanar, Sundar and Thyagu and daughters Aruna, Jayantha and Gouri.
