Several images of Lord Vinayakar were brought in lorries and carts on September 4 to the beach in Srinivasapuram.
Srinivasapuram beach near Foreshore Estate, was the immersion point.
San Thome High Road were filled with devotees who wanted to immerse the images of Lord Vinayakar into the sea.
Cranes and catamarans were used to immerse large images of the deity.
The immersing of the deity’s images follows the Vinayakar Chartuthi festival that took place on September 1.
