The Nandalala Seva Samithi observed the International Women’s Day along with the World Kidney Day, by awarding the Nanda Deepam award to three women achievers from various fields.
The awardees were Dr Muthu Jayaram – Nephrologist M.B.B.S, M.D. (Int. Medicine), D.M. (Nephrology), Radhika Santhanakrishnan Founder: Penn Nalam and Anitha Guha, Founder and Director, Bharathanjali.
The chief guest for the event was C.V. Bhagyalakshmi, Superintendent of Railways.
The dialysis centre of Nandala Medical Foundation launch Suraksha Sanjeevini, welfare schemes on the occasion.
Dr. Muthu Jayaram spoke on the various aspects of kidney diseases, its prevention and cure.
