Dr. K. V. Govinda Rao, aged 84 years passed away on March 26.
He was the founder editor of the magazine “WISDOM”, a international monthly digest, published from Chennai for the past 40 years.
He was born in Arepalli Muppalla of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh.
Govinda Rao was a very enterprising, dynamic and philanthropic person. He had a keen interest in reading, writing, theatre and had written several books in Telugu and English ever since his childhood, says a family member.
He instituted the annual “WISDOM” awards to encourage people from different walks of life.
He was a resident of Mylapore for the past 30 years. The family can be reached at 98841 12128.
My pranams to Govinda Rao sir. He taught us for some time at OASIS SCHOOL Hyderabad. Today i remembered him from a shradanjali message from sir written to Swami Shraddananda Anandashram. But today he is also no more. We pray good to bless his family.
