Mylapore based cricketer Aparajith, a resident of Leith Castle Road, is a part of the Indian under -19 cricket team.
The team is currently playing U-19 world cup in Australia.
Aparajith scored 51 runs in 97 balls in the cricket match held at Townsville, Australia.
He partnered with team-mate Vijay Zol to add 66 runs for the fourth wicket.
The match was played against Pakistan who scored 136 runs in this match.
India scored 137 runs and won the match. India will now take on New Zealand in the semifinals on August 23.
