The annual Helping Hands Mela is on at HSBC bank in Mylapore. This exhibition cum sale will be held till Nov.10 at the bank’s premises on Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai.
Local NGOs have displayed their products, arts and craft designs. Among the exhibits are recycled newspaper products, agarbathi sticks, pickles, jute products and saris.
The proceeds of the sale will go towards supporting a charitable cause.
N. Ram, former Editor in Chief – The Hindu, Muneer Sait, former Indian Olympic hockey player and Anirudh Srikkanth, cricketer, were the guests of honour for the inauguration.
The mela is open to public and customers from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and till 2 p.m. on Saturday.
