The diamond jubilee celebrations of Triplicane Cultural Academy were launched with an event at Dakshinamurthy Auditorium in P S School campus, Mylapore on July 13, Saturday.
Wellknown journalist-editor and policy expert B G Verghese from Delhi delivered a lecture on this occasion.
Former Editor-in-Chief of The Hindu, N Ram, renowned scientist Dr M S Swaminathan and former bureaucrat B S Raghavan were present and participated in the event which was attended by about 200 people.
The Academy hosts talks, meetings and cultural events and runs a library and aims to contribute to the intellectual and cultural growth in this city.
