- Mridangam vidwan Patri Satish Kumar is organising the Patri Drum Fest at Mylapore. It is on from Aug 30 to Sept.1 at a Luz venue.
- Day 1 will feature Dr. Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman’s solo mridangam performance at 6.30 p.m. and a ghatam recital by Suresh Vaidyanathan at 8 p.m.Day 2 will showcase a thavil recital by Thanjavur Govindarajan at 6.30 p.m. and a mridangam performance by T. V. Gopalakrishnan.
The last day’s celebration of rhythm has N. Amrith on the ganjira at 6.30 p.m. and V. Kamalakar Rao on the mridangam at 7.30 p.m. At Arkay Convention Centre on August 30, 31 and September 1. All are welcome.
