Marga Darshanam’ will showcase the classical works of the Tanjore Quartette. It is choreographed by Dr. Swarnamalaya Ganesh, director of Ranga Mandira School of Performing Arts.
The guru-shishya parampara will be evoked by Sangeeta Shala students who would render kritis of Muthuswami Dikshitar. An illustrated talk on the life of the Quartette would also take place. The students will unveil the Tanjore bani among others.
The students will also display exhibits created by them.
On October 2 at T. N. Rajaratnam Pillai auditorium, Durgabai Deshmukh Road, R. A. Puram at 6 p.m.
