The Mylapore Unit of THAMBRAS, The TN Brahmin Association is hosting its Awakening Day event on Nov.24 in Mylapore.
A office bearer says seniors of the community who have rendered service for the formation of this community group and sustained it over the years will be recognised.
Among them will be C. Parameswaran who has at at the UNit office on C P Ramaswamy Road and helped Brahmin parents seek out the horoscopes of eligible youth for their sons or daughters who plan to get married. The Association runs a horoscope bank and is widely tapped.
There will also be a few speeches and events.
