Bringing the flavours of Carnatic music to school campuses

Senior students at Vidya Mandir spent this morning listening to Carnatic music and interacting with young, fulltime musicians. This is part of the ongoing Outreach Project under the Rhapsody banner that pianist Anil Srinivasan and conductor Sudha Raja and their team are hosting in a few city schools this margazhi season of music.

Anil says the idea is to get the teenagers closer to classical music.

At Vidya Mandir, violinist Shreya Devnath started off with a recital and later, mandolin vidwan U Srinivas was scheduled to play and chat with the community here.
