Mylapore police on Thursday arrested three people who are accused of having murdered a young Mylaporean in broad daylight at Luz the previous day.
Among the accused is 40-year-old Vellaiyan Kumar of Mylapore. He is said to have been angered at the victim had abused his mother in some local brush-off and had planned this heinous crime.
He got two others to help him and the trio chased the victim on their bikes and murdered him on the main road alongside the shops along the Nehru News Mart side.
