Yet another Carnatic music festival gets underway on Friday evening, May 16 at Sri Kapali Temple. The Vaikasi Isai Vizha opens with a concert by Dr. Shobana Vignesh and will run for the next few evenings at the Navaratri mantapam inside the temple campus.
The fest, sponsored by Preetha Reddy and Vijaykumar Reddy, ( the latter is the temple thakkar) features some well known Carnatic music artistes like Gayathri Venkataraghavan and Prasanna Venkatraman.
