Author Jayakaandhan’s 80th birthday will be celebrated on July 24 at Music Academy, TTK Road, Alwarpet, 6.30 p.m. onwards. The chief guest is Dr. Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti. Poet Vairamuthu, actor Sivakumar and actress Lakshmi will attend the function. A book “Jayakaandhan Kathaigal” will be released by Bala Subramaniam, chairman of Vikatan group, on that day.
