The Eco club and National Green Corps (NGC) was inaugurated at Children’s Garden Girls School on June 2 by S. Rajasekaran, Eco clubs coordinator, Chennai district in the presence of the Assistant HM, J. R. Lakshmikantham. The event was also attended by G. Thangaraj, centre incharge, Environmental Information Dissemination Centre (EIDC) and district coordinator, NGC, Dept. of Environment. He spoke about avoiding the use of plastics to maintain an eco – friendly environment. The NGC coordinator, B. Gunavathy, talked about the environmental activities that were being conducted at their school. The school is located at R. K. Salai, Mylapore.
