It was the turn of students at Lady Sivaswamy Girls Hr Secondary School in Mylapore to run a campaign to sensitize people and the student community on rainwater harvesting (RWH).
One group took out a rally through the local streets off Sundareswarar Street where the school is located. In classrooms, student teams created simple models and charts on RWH and explained it to their colleagues.
The state is promoting RWH and asking schools to get actively involved at a time when water supply could be affected and monsoon follows later in the year.
