Former Congress leader, G K Vasan who recently quit the party along with his followers has been having small meetings with many groups who have chosen to move away from the Congress and support Vasan. Earlier this week, Vasan had met with the city unit of the Congress women at a Mylapore hall and on Friday, he attended a meeting of the SC/ST unit of the party – this meeting was held at a Corporation hall in Luz Avenue.
Vasan has said that a new party will be launched later this month.
