The Panguni festival post-religious celebration music and dance series at Sri Kapali temple are drawing a big audience since all the top ranking artistes now in the city ( many are doing the USA circuit). On Wednesday evening, Sanjay Subramanyam must have had over 1000 people listening to him and his accompanists at the Navaratri mantapam.
Sanjay, starting a shade before 6.30 pm presented a series of songs in Tamil, themed for the occasion and let his boom and roll voice engage the rasikas who sat through most of the 2 hours plus concert despite a rise and fall in the summer sea breeze.
