Old boys of Vivekananda College celebrate golden jubilee

vivekananda college alumniThe 1965 batch of Vivekananda College, Mylapore celebrated their golden jubilee yesterday (June 21) at Alumni Club, R. A. Puram. Students from all disciplines – science and commerce – got together to honour their teacher and to share stories, funny anecdotes and memories.

The event began with the college prayer after which the students talked about their time spent at the college and also fondly remembered the contribution of their teachers. Former principal, P. R. Vittal, was honoured with a photo of Swami Vivekananda. After catching up on stories, members enjoyed a sumptuous lunch.

The event ended with members promising to keep in touch by conducting informal meetings atleast twice a year. They also pledged to serve the college in the best way possible in the years to come.

  1. Hi,

    I am P.K. Balasubramaniam, 1965 B.Sc (Chemistry) graduate.

I stayed in “Ramu Hostel” for three years while pursuing studies.

I was the Captain of the Vivekananda College Football team in 1965. I was also in the college Basketball team during the same years.

    I reside in Toronto, Canada.

I would love to establish contacts with my batchmates, again.

P.S. Do you have the names of the people in the group photo of Class of 65. If so, could you please email to me.

    Thanks and sincere Best wishes,

    Balu
