C. P. Art Center is hosting an exhibition titled ‘ The Art of Cartooning’. The show will feature cartoons by artists Keshav and Surendra of The Hindu. The exhibition begins on July 23 and will go on till Aug 4. The two artists will also be a part of a discussion with Kausalya Santhanam on Saturday July 25 at 10.30 a.m.
Neither artist has had any formal training in art. Keshav began his career at Ananda Vikatan, before contributing political cartoons to The Hindu and then joining the paper in 1987. Surendra was part of the Telugu magazine Commando, as a lay-out artist, then cartoonist at Andhra Bhoomi and Udayam. He has been a part of The Hindu since 1996.
