Ananthalakshmi Narayan (Maitheli) passed away on July 1. She was the wife of Narayan Ram.
Ananthalakshmi was born and brought up in Bangalore. After marriage to her husband Narayan Ram, she lived in various cities in the country like Gurgaon, Kolkata and Bombay before finally settling down in Chennai. She was a resident of Mylapore House on Dr Ranga Road for the last ten years.
Her husband says that she was actively involved in religious and traditional activities and took great pleasure in celebrating all Hindu festivals. She was a good cook and a great home-maker, he adds. She liked to give back to society and was involved in annadhanam and charity in her own limited way. She was also interested in music and the fine arts.
Ananthalakshmi is survived by husband, 3 children- son Sriram & his wife Anuradha in US; daughter Uthara working in Chennai; daughter Arundathi in Class XI at P.S. Senior School. Contact the family at 24985437.
