A musician who lived on Nattu Subbarayan Street in Mylapore committed suicide on Thursday, supposedly because he was pulled up by a friend who had given him a loan.
Police said that the musician was a tabla player and used to perform for local troupes. He is said to have been in a tight spot after he found his loan dues were mounting.
