Award function
Cinema Rendezvous has organised the first Bala Kailasam Memorial Award (for innovative use of media toward social causes) on Oct 26. Haobam Paban Kumar will receive the award for his documentary Phum-Shang (Floating Life). The movie captures the life of the fishermen communities and their floating dwellings in Loktak Lake, North East India. The event will be held at Hotel Savera, Dr. R. K. Korean film fest
Korean film fest starts on Oct 26 at Russian Center for Science and Technology. Eight movies will be screened till Oct 30, including The Journals of Musan and Closer to Heaven. The fest is organised by Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation and Korean Cultural Center, New Delhi.
