There is a lot of activity at the St Ebbas School campus on Dr. Radhakrishnan Road, opposite Hotel Woodlands as the elections to the Nadigar Sangam are to be held here on Sunday.
Since the run-up to the poll has witnessed campaigns, allegations and heated debates of two rival groups, this poll assumes much importance and is a sensitive event. Hence, city police have put in place extensive security at the venue and issued guidelines related to the process.
A retired judge is overseeing the poll.
Since a large number of actors are expected to come by to vote, and fans will want to hang around to see them police are securing the place to discourage gatherings at the school gates.
There are no traffic regulations.
