A three-day dance festival begins this evening to remember the feted Bharatanatyam dance guru K J Sarasa who passed away some 4 years ago. Her student Shanmughasundaram has curated this fest which is on at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore.
Senior dancers like A Lakshmanaswamy, himself a sishya of Sarasa and the Dhananjayans are scheduled to perform at the fest. Open to all. For three evenings from today.
