Sri Kapali Temple: rituals associated with kumbhabishekam start on Friday

Rituals connected to a kumbhabishekam will begin at Sri Kapali Temple in Mylapore on Friday morning, March 25 even as men are working round the clock to get the campus ready for this grand event due on April 3.

Every day since Friday, there are rituals associated with the kumbhabishekam, with the mahaganapathi homam on March 26 morning and shanthi homam on March 27.

The homams are held in the mornings and also on some evenings. These will be held in the specially designed spaces in the northern yard of the temple. A specially designed roof of golden foil paper is being put in place for this event.

On April 3, from 5 am onwards pujas/homams will begin and the blessing of the various vimanams and gopurams wil start from 8.30 am on April 3.

The invitation does not carry the names of any politicians as VIP guests for April 3 but lists the HR&CE Head and a bunch of officers of this department.
