This was probably the biggest gathering for the Panguni festival celebration – being a Sunday. Though the sun was up early and it was a hot morning, thousands of people filled up the mada streets to take part in the procession of the ther that began at 7 a.m.
The chariot, repaired and painted recently was fully decorated for the occasion and contrary to some apprehensions, had a smooth run down the mada streets.
