Former state police chief R. Natraj has been chosen by AIADMK to be its candidate for the Mylapore Assembly constituency in the state elections due in May.
Party chief J Jayalalithaa released the list of candidates this morning.
R Rajalakshmi of the party is the MLA now and her term will come to an end soon. She had also applied for the ticket here but Natraj was seen as the ‘given’ candidate of the party. Cadres also say that he has a good chance at the hustings in May.
