Gandhi Peace Foundation launches projects to celebrate Gandhi’s birthday

Gandhi Peace Foundation plans to launch projects for promoting a culture of peace in 150 schools all over India to mark the beginning of the 150th birthday celebration of Mahatma Gandhi that falls on Oct 2, 2018.

Workshops for teachers based on Gandhian values, simple conflict resolution methods, dealing with campus violence and several other topics will be held. Projects for promoting communal harmony, gender equity and caring and sharing will also be launched in the coming year.

In addition to this, a book ‘Gandhian way to peace’, which costs Rs. 150 and contains 51 stories, will be sent to schools free of cost. Rs. 50 will be charged towards courier expenses.
