None of the TASMAC liquor shops which had come for extreme notice among Mylaporeans have shut down. The state announced that the first phase of shutting down 500 liquor shops run by TASMAC was to begin today.
The shops that came for severe criticism included one on Kamaraj Salai ad two opposite Thirumayailai MRTS station.
