Centenary celebrations of vocalist Sathur A. G. Subramaniam

The centenary celebrations of vocalist Sathur A.G. Subramaniam (1916–1977) are being held in Chennai on July 15, 16 and 17. They will be held at Raga Sudha Hall, Luz.

He was a vocalist who was born in Tiruchi district, Tamil Nadu, studied music at Annamalai University and whose music was appreciated by the greats of that time like G N Balasubramaniam.

He also had a number of sishyas. This week, they and his family members are joining hands to remember him.
