The MRC Residents Association is spreading the community spirit in the neighbourhood. This weekend, the MRC Sports Fest, a month long celebration of fitness, will roll out at various venues in this area.
Several events are to be held over the next few weekends.
Kickstarting the Fest are the table tennis, swimming and throwball events, with over 100 participants. In the course of July, badminton, basketball and indoor cricket will also be held, says a note from the association.
The grand finale is a Sports Day on Aug 15 at the ground alongside Ambedkar Memorial with some fun athletics, yoga and karate demonstration.
The title sponsors of this fest are Wealth Advisors India and co-sponsor 18 Herbs Organics.
The Sports Fest debuts this year and we hope it will be an annual affair, said one member of the community.
