Chennai Corporation asks Sundaram Finance to develop, maintain Nageswara Rao Park

Chennai Corporation has formally handed over the development and maintenance of Nageswara Rao Park, Luz for the next three years to Sundaram Finance (SF).
The civic council passed a resolution recently and the order is expected soon.
Mylapore MLA R. Nataraj helped  process this issue quickly after he learnt that it was in a  limbo since the last contract expired.
SF said that ‘soon after the July edition of the Sunday Kutcheri in the Park  at the Nageswara Rao Park, MLA R Natraj met with the senior officials of Sundaram Finance to understand the work done by the company at the Park over the last 15 years and  issues that they had faced in the maintenance of the park.’
The MLA had encouraged the company to continue with the good work including the ‘mikeless’ kutcheri and the art workshops and promised to support all the initiatives at the park.
He was also keen on the company putting up once again at the park some of the rare photographs of legendary artistes that SF had showcased earlier at vantage points.
