The shutters of Kirtilal Jewellers in Alwarpet were down most parts of Monday because a team of Income Tax officers were investigating the records of this well known jewellery which has its base in Coimbatore.
The raid was conducted simultaneously at Kirtilal offices and showrooms.
The local store is on C P Ramaswamy Road, Alwarpet.
