On Jan 15, the members of Jeth Nagar Residents Welfare Association (JERA), Mandaveli organised a ‘Swachh Jeth Nagar’ event in association with Ramky and the Chennai Corporation.
One team which comprised of 20 residents, assisted by Venkatesh, the general manager operations of Ramky, Niranjan, zonal head of Ramky, supervisors and conservatory workers cleaned the area while another team went door to door to meet families and talk to them about the importance of source segregation.
Members of other local associations -MRWA and TAKSRA, C. R. Balaji of Arappor Iyakkam and Rudhra of Sai Volunteers Group too extended their support.
