Celebrating Bharatanatyam guru K J Sarasa; dance fest

Sarasalaya presents Sarasa Natya Mala’s 5th edition of the annual dance festival in memory of the late Bharatanatyam guru K. J. Sarasa on Feb 19, 20 and 21 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore. Admission is open to all.

The guests of honour on the opening evening is Tarun Kumar (film director & choreographer) and Paravathi Ravi Ghantasala  They will be presenting the Guru K.J. Sarasa award to M. V. Sreenivas (violin vidwan)

Here is the schedule of the fest:

Feb 19 : 5.00 pm – Madhumitha Sriram (disciple of A. Lakshmanaswamy)
6.00 pm – Inauguration fest – featuring Students of Sarasalaya and Shanmuga Sundaram
7.30 pm – Padmini Ravi of Bangalore and group perform


Feb 20 : 5.00 pm – Harshavardhani & Prishavardhani, Malaysia (disciples of Savithri Velayuthan)
6.15 pm – Nartaki Natraj performs
7.30 pm – Sathyanarayana Raju, Bangalore performs

Feb 21  : 5.00 pm – Maathangi Vignesh performs (disciple of K.J. Saras & Shanmuga Sundaram)
6.15 pm  – Ashwini Viswanathan’s recital ( she is a disciple of Jayanthi Subramaniam)
7.30 pm – G. Narendra with Avigna Dance Ensemble present a production

  1. While publishing , see to that you maintain Fonts equally, the above content is a poor demonstration of event announcement.
    While 19th is displayed in small fonts and 20th and 21st you have printed in bigger fonts. This suggests you want to show that 19th event is not so important and 20th an 21st are main even. Which is not the case. Please correct
