Mylapore police zone’s DCP, V. Balakrishnan has outlined a few events in his patch to mark International Women’s Day.
The day will start with an ‘awareness meeting on child sexual abuse for the girl children of the CSI School for the Deaf and Dumb School, San Thome.
The DCP is also inaugurating three women task forces in Mylapore district to deal with child sexual abuse in schools in the Mylapore district.
Other plans include self-defense training for the women police, driving classes for women police and plans to take the elderly women from two Old Age Homes to a movie at Inox.
Volunteers are invited to lend support.
