Cinema and its evolution discussed at seminar held at local college

On July 26, the department of English at Dr. MGR Janaki College, R. A. Puram organised a national seminar on ‘Film and literature, challenges of adaptation’. Film maker Rajiv Menon was the chief guest and film director Vetrimaran was the guest of honour.

Discussions were held on various topics including the evolution of cinema, its journey to the eastern world and theories of adaptation. Professors from several city colleges presented papers at this event.
