The original padukas of Shirdi Sai Baba are to be displayed for darshan at the Sai Baba temple in Alamelumangapuram on Wednesday and Thursday, Nov.8 and 9.
This has been arranged by the All India Sai Samaj which manages this temple in connection with the centenary of the passing away of Sai Baba.
On Wednesday morning, the padukas were yet to be brought here; staff said they were expected later in the day.
Meanwhile civic activists questioned the move by local police to cordon off the area and divert traffic for this event; road dividers had been placed outside the temple and vehicles were forced to take alternate routes.
