Two dance concerts marked the finale of the annual dance festival titled Satyam Shivam Sundaram hosted by a city-based dance academy, Srivedi Nrityalaya at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple, Mylapore on Wednesday evening.
Sudharma Vaithiyinathan ( seen in the photo here) performed solo first with her guru A. Lakshmanaswamy on the nattuvangam.
The second recital was by three sishyas of Mumbai based guru Sandhya Purecha.
The concerts were held on a temporary stage in the north-eastern corner of the temple campus.
Off and on, dance schools and artistes choose to organise concerts inside the temple – the setting is unique and so is the atmosphere.
