If there was some evidence of May Day celebrations on May 1 they were seen at local autorickshaw stands. Almost all the stands witnessed the flag of CITU, a Left labour union being hoisted.
A few drivers we met in R. A. Puram said they were looking at working only 8 hours today as a token of remembrance of the occasion where issues concerning the working class are remembered.
