Six nuns belonging to the congregation of Franciscan Sisters of Our Lady of Bon Secours will take their final vows at a special Holy Mass to be held on May 9 evening.
This event will be held at the Bon Secours convent on Madha Church Road, Mandavelipakkam.
Rev. Dr. Nazarene Soosai, bishop of Kottur will head his brother-priests at the Mass in the presence of Sr. Maria Philomi, superior general of this congregation.
The final vows is the last step in the religious process that formally proclaims the nuns.
That morning, fifteen senior nuns will celebrate their silver jubilee as nuns at a Mass to be said at the same venue.
These are two annual events that top the calendar of this congregation which has deep roots in the Mylapore area.
