CSI diocese bishop, pastors attend prayer for ailing DMK leader

The pastors of the CSI diocese of Madras took part in a prayer service held this morning at the CSI Good Shepherd Church in Alwarpet. They prayed for the wellbeing of DMK leader Karunanidhi who is in hospital, in a serious condition.

The meet was held under the auspices of the bishop, Rev. Dr. J. George Stephen and some 40 pastors from the churches under the CSI in the city prayed along wiht him.

Pastor Rev. Devaputhiran who heads the Good Shepherd Church at TTK Road junction told this newspaper that the church felt that Karunanidhi had been good to the minorities and always communicated with the church and that in a time when he was very ill, praying for his well being was a natural response.
